Since inception in 1999, the Iowa Onsite Waste Water Association (IOWWA)
works to educate its members and public about the benefits of quality
onsite wastewater treatment. IOWWA is one of the largest state
organizations in the country focused on the onsite wastewater industry.
Our members number more than 400 and include regulators, installation
contractors, maintenance contractors, soil scientists, engineers,
manufacturers and educators. These people join to make IOWWA a diverse
and well-balanced organization.
The IOWWA membership structure for 2010 year is designed to accommodate
both one-person participation by providing “Individual” membership at
$90.00 and companies with numerous active individuals using the
“Business” membership at $120.00 + additional staff for $50.00/each.
Because all association activities have both member and non-member fees,
allowing more persons to attend from a member company at the lower
member rates was desired. “Individual” membership is for only one person
from any company or government entity. The affiliation of that
individual will always be listed with the person’s name in IOWWA records
and materials.
The “Business” membership is best suited for a company or government
entity when multiple personnel participate in association activities.
One person is designated the “key person;” that individual will receive
the IOWWA Septic News and be the primary contact. Additional persons
from the same company or agency can be added to the business membership
for $50 per person; those persons can then attend IOWWA activities at
the lower member rates. There is no limit to the number of persons from
the same entity who can be added for $50.00 each.
IOWWA's main goal is to expand on industry-wide education. The primary
means is by supporting training workshops across the state. Workshops
are held several times per year and cover subjects including site
evaluation, system design, and system installation. IOWWA provides other
educational opportunities by publishing our quarterly newsletter and by
hosting an annual conference. The two-day annual conference features
seminars by nationally recognized experts, peer discussions, networking
opportunities, and exhibits featuring the latest technologies and
services.
IOWWA can help you address issues and answer questions specific to
onsite wastewater treatment in our state. IOWWA is also connected to the
National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA), the premier
national organization focused on the onsite wastewater industry.
Membership in IOWWA includes membership in NOWRA and IOWWA members
receive all the benefits of NOWRA including a subscription to the
“Onsite Journal”, the quarterly NOWRA newsletter.
IOWWA grows stronger with new and renewed memberships. You are invited
to join IOWWA as we work to learn and share knowledge in our industry.
Please accept our invitation by completing the membership application
