IOWWA MEMBERSHIP MUST BE RENEWED ANNUALLY. To use the member rate for the conference fees, you will need to renew/join IOWWA for the 2019 member year! Current membership ends on December 31, 2018. Membership dues are not included in the event registration fee.
The Safety and Plumbing/Plumbing Code are the only sessions that are approved for the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) plumbing licensing continuing education (CE) hours. The Pre-Conference agenda, in the below Documents & Files section, is available to download.
At check-in, you must sign in and provide your Plumbing license number. The sign-up sheets are sent to the IDPH for verification of your attendance however they are not used by the IDPH to record your CE hours.
The instructor will sign and give you a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the course. It is your responsibility to provide the IDPH with the information on this certificate to renew your plumbing license through the Iowa Department of Public Health. IOWWA cannot provide IDPH with your CE information and we are not able to duplicate this certificate if it is lost.
Safety does not qualify for the CIOWTS credential continuing education. Plumbing and Plumbing Code are approved for the CIOWTS credential. These sessions are not approved for the IDNR Time of Transfer Inspectors.
Instructor: Lee Maier, The CEU Authority, Clive IA
Brief Bio: Lee owned his own company for many years doing appliance repair, plumbing and HVAC repair and installation. He was later employed for over 13 years with Sears Holding Company as a service manager where he managed 30 technicians in 3 states. Because of his experience in the trades one of his primary duties was teaching appliance and HVAC classes to Sears’s technicians. In 2014 Lee became an instructor for the CEU Authority teaching Plumbing and HVAC classes throughout the tri state area.
